The End of Brown Avocados!

I love avocados, but I can never eat the whole thing at one time. In the past, I've always wrapped the leftover half in plastic wrap, but it always turns brown and unappetizing before I have a chance to use it up. Enter the Avocado Saver! I just leave the pit in the half I'm going to save, put it into the Avocado Saver, and save it in the fridge for later. The avocado is never exposed to air--which causes oxidation, and turns it brown--so it's perfect when I'm ready to eat it!

Try this tasty salad for a great lunch for 1:

Halve an avocado, then fill the hole left by the pit with chopped tomatoes, red onion, cilantro and lime juice. Add jalapeno if you like a little spice. That's it! If you make extra filling, you'll have enough for another avocado salad later in the week--and the avocado will still be a beautiful green when you're ready for it!

Quick tip: Did you know the best way to know you're getting a perfectly green avocado is to remove the stem at the top? If it's green underneath, the avocado will be green. If it's brown, don't bother, the avocado inside will be brown, too.
